They collected for a public meeting. It was considered a rebellion. Bullets rain.  1000  killed, and nearly 2000 maimed. Remember General Dyer. It was April 13, 1919 at Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar, India.

  1. History has so much to make us ashamed – We’re taught to loathe dictatorships , and the evil deeds of other nations, but we Brits have no right to point the finger at anyone.

  2. Jalianwaalah bag ye dekho,yahan chali thi goliyan..”-I was there in 2011 Dec ,for our school(class) reunion & it was really an amazing feeling!Wonderful piece here though only few may be able to relate.
