  1. It’s a well-written book too. I’m not sure about the extent of its wisdom, but it has charm – which is why people like it. You should check out my Cement Elephants and other Animal Sculptures for more wisdom. Thanks for visiting. As for the challenge, I would throw in Yellow Brick Road by Elton John.

  2. I love that you brought up what Baum did with this story….also, I played Dorothy and the Cowardly Lion in different years of my life…still know every word.
    If you’ve never read wicked I highly suggest it….written from the view point of “wicked witch” and glenda as twenty somethings…it shows how “the Witch” was bullied as a child for her appearance …it’s a phenomenal story.

  3. Oh, I had to look up that word. I love Mr. Baum. And all of the Oz books not just the Wizard. I have my own collection of Oz an Oz type books. One being a cook book – I did go looking for it to share the title…but I can’t find it at the moment. It was recipes with photos from the movie.
