Second childhod!

The old alley got its ramps as the few remaining inhabitants lost their reflexes with age. The young had flown to make new nests. The left-behinds formed a self-help group. They lived happily and enjoyed life.

One day as a few old ladies collected at mid-day to catch the sliver of sunlight, they reminisced about their childhood games.

A particular lady noticed that the flagstones were laid just as a hopscotch court; and they enjoyed their second childhood,

  1. Very cute photo and sweet story. I don’t think many really old ladies would be foolish enough to try hopping on the hopscotch though. As so many of us get older, we are learning to be a little more careful in our old age.

  2. It’s important to keep old memories flowing, else they sink to the bottom of the mind and set solid. Become inaccessible. Anyone watching the old ladies playing hopscotch would think them mad. They would be wrong.
