Rise of She!

Prompt ~

Maya had been chained to the leg of the heavy teak bed in the attic for last few days. They had picked her up while she was returning from her school.

They had starved her, but she had not been otherwise molested. Maya knew she was to be sold to a sheik in the middle-east and her virginity would fetch extra money.

She was listless and did not expect any help. Light headed she hallucinated.

The noise brought her captors. They had never seen such destruction.

A look at Maya and they prostrated shouting – Jai Ma-Kali

Words   < 100
Jai Ma-Kali – Victory to Mother Kali.

Thanks for the prompt Rochelle Wisoff-Fields. SHALOM.

  1. Cool story. So they are saying she is Kali the goddess of among other things, destruction? Is that what they are saying? Would something like that save her? Would they release her? Lucy

    • Kali is the complete women. She is the creator, the preserver and the destroyer of all evils. In the context of this story the victim and the abductors are Hindus. The believe her to be Kali and would not face the wrath of Kali – hence the prostration. Maya is saved.

      Thanks for the interest. 🙂

  2. YEA for Kali! She saved the day, I’m glad Maya will be saved. What is this stuff with kidnappers stealing young girls for virginity? Shame on them!! Shame, shame, shame! I’m glad she is going to get away and I hope that Kali causes them harm for their malice! Good story. Nan 🙂

    • Yes, YEA for Kali. 🙂

Thanks for the lovely comment. The exploitation and trade in women and girls is a crime that goes on in spite of all laws. Any one can check the fact in news columns and news archives.

I love arguments
