Egyptians, Mayans, Babylonians besides many others developed calendars based upon a 360-day year. Long-long ago the earth did have an orbit of precisely 360-day year.

As the earth hardened and the universe expanded – the orbit adjusted to changing gravity. The year lengthened to the present 365.4 days. This was responsible for the evolution of animals.

Life developed in sea and evolved to shelled creatures. A new shell-form developed for each second of increase. Most of these vanished along with the dinosaurs 66m years ago.

The distortion of time and its impact is depicted in this cast. The guide explained.

  1. Dear Yarnspinner, You are very clever with your story and this is such an interesting take on the prompt – very thought provoking – at least for me. Wow – it’s a brain teaser story! Good job! Nan 🙂

      Thanks for the visit. 🙂
