Sir Gene

Prompt –

2015-01-05 - BW Beacham

Finish the story begins with:  “Silently as the people watched, the black hawk helicopter lifted into the air.”

Silently as the people watched, the black hawk helicopter lifted into the air. Sir Gene owned all the crops he was flying over. He had come to pacify the farmers and had promised them the sky. The crowd was unconvinced. The gm-crop had increased their incomes but all of it was being spent on purchasing seed and patent-violation litigation. The resentment found expression in abuse and curses for Sir Gene.

A man walked to the front and shouted – ‘Your individual curses are useless. If you are really angry curse him collectively.’

The crowd waited for him to continue ………

Repeat after me – I curse you with chip failure.

I curse you with chip failure.

A few minutes later the crowd observed the helicopter go into a tailspin and fall head first into the cornfields.
