Prompt –
PHOTO PROMPT –© Marie Gail Stratford
Nobody ever saw him perform an agricultural activity but he liked to be called Farmer Jenkins. Many wondered why he had purchased this desolate piece of land. It was rumored that he had paid good money for it but only a few knew the truth.
Its location, a few isolated silos and Jenkins penchant for weird shortcuts to earn his fortune in minimal time played a decisive role in his purchase.
He helped the terrorist and criminals escape from the nearby high security prison. They never searched the silos in the adjoining run down farm.

Thanks for the prompt Rochelle Wisoff-Fields. SHALOM.
HIs own justice… Swift and silent?
🙂
Thank you.
I hope the police eventually realise what’s going on! Good story. 🙂
Thank you.
I hope those “few” keep silent – or maybe not. Interesting take on the prompt – well done.
May be they did. 🙂
Thanks.
Different take on the silo. Your story is very creative.:)
Thank you. 🙂
This piece had me wondering: did you mean “help” as in to escape, or were the criminals lured to a unilateral justice?
Help to escape for those who could pay and justice in other cases.
Thanks for the interest. 🙂
I hope that way of making quick money backfires soon. Great take on the prompt.
Shortcuts do not have long life.
Thank you. 🙂
Sinister story, Yarnspinnerr. Maybe some day the law will discover what’s going on. Let’s hope so. Well done. — Suzanne
I am sure it shall.
Thank you.
