Ma was a magus and her requests were commands that were to be obeyed without any delay. McRanas had invited her to their home for getting it rid of the ill willed spirits that had made their life a misery.
The McRana boys made a wind chime out of discarded cans they found in one of the kitchen shelves and presented it to her.

‘What happened now?’
‘Y’all let out all the evil spirits!’
