Prompt –
Finish the story that begins with: “The team employed the use of Nightshade to get the information they wanted from their captive.”
The team employed the use of Nightshade to get the information they wanted from their captive – Mr K. They had captured the old Mr K in his shiny grey suit and two day old stubble as he was getting out of the Intelligence-HQs. They presumed him to be a lowly clerk and wanted to recruit him.
Mr K was suffering from the ravages of age and carcinoma of the prostrate. He was given a very small dose of nightshade-extract to confuse him for achieving their purpose.
Finally, Mr K was recruited after he had helped them fine-tune their information.
Mr K was found lying in front of the Intelligence-HQs with an elaborate story of his kidnapping and escape.
######
The medical-team examined the chief spymaster and found him perfectly fit. Mr K was debriefed and fed disinformation to his kidnappers for years.
‘Why the nightshade-extract did not have the desired effect?’ he asked his doctor one day.
‘Hormesis’, the doctor replied.
