As instructed, we have booked the same room for you, sir. The receptionist said handing the keys

Thank you!

He noticed the new wire- mesh on the window as soon as he entered the room. He unscrewed  the mesh and set up the CheyTac Intervention. It was focussed on one of the buildings across the river. He sat down hoping his wait would not be long.

The room was soon full of a buzz from the mosquitoes. He had covered himself with a mosquito repellant cream and hoped he did not land in hospital with Dengue like the last time.

Words ~ 100

Thanks for the prompt Rochelle Wisoff-Fields. SHALOM.

  1. There’s a world of stories inside this moment. ‘Like the last time.’ and ‘the wait’ and ‘the Chey-Tac intervention.’ All spaces where I get to wander, making my own answers. Intriguing character. Lovely, open-ended piece. Thank you.

  2. His job certainly carries more risks than one. The pay must make the risks worth it. An assassin is not your everyday job. Being an expert assassin is probably not an overcrowded field. Well done, Yarnspinnerr. — Suzanne
