The amulet maker

Thanks to Piya Singh for this week’s photo prompt.

The man was simply called as Peer Baba. He used to make amulets. I do not know if his charms were effective or not but people came from long distances to get them from him.  The word spread and the fidayeen from a neighboring camp also patronized him.

Those seeking paradise – wanted a piece of this world too. Truth is truly stranger than fiction.

In Islam , whosoever wears an amulet has committed the sin of worshiping false God.  No wonder Peer Baba was murdered in his sleep. Perhaps he had not made a magical amulet for himself.

  1. This is the reality of mixed beliefs. The older worship systems live on for some people. Some of those who are Christians use Tauro cards and hold seances, etc. In some areas of the world, it leads to death. Well written, Yarnspinnerr. —- Suzanne

  2. I had not come across the word fedayeen before. Sadily this kind of sacrifice has changed to feature hatred and murderous intentions.

I love arguments
