He walked through the deserted streets of a provincial town in Italy, one hot summer afternoon and found himself in alley which he knew well. The painted women would be seen at the windows at sunset.
He knew that all his attempts to get out of the maze of streets would fail. He had come here for the first time but he had repeatedly dreamt of this place.
He did not believe in supernatural and the very thought that it was some sort cosmic power that was responsible for his dream was abhorrent.
He was Sigmund Freud.
