Colorfully painful

Prompt  ….

This week’s photo prompt is provided by Phylor. Thank you Phylor.
The old cabin standing alone in a clearing of the local woods is beautifully fitted out inside with white woodwork. It is small but designed to be spacious, with everything ship-shape and in its place. Cozy and snug in the winter, it has a superb wood burner and an endless supply of logs.
It attracts locals and my friends in autumn – who come to watch the colors of fall.
Unfortunately I always miss the colors coz I hide behind the closed doors trying to escape the sneezing season  – a  runny nose, itchy eyes and scratchy throat, as the days get shorter and the leaves begin to change color. However, it invariably catches me.
The employees deputed to maintain the woods love raking up those pesky leaves throughout the autumn thereby increasing my misery and Alec Smart their foreman calls me the fall guy.
Words ~145

Thank you Priceless Joy

  1. The cabin sounds like a perfect place from which to watch the lovely colours of fall. But how sad that your character – the fall guy – (great name!) can’t enjoy being outdoors. Great description of the symptoms of his allergies, too. 🙂

I love arguments
