Some years ago a researcher found samples that had been lying for the last 170 years at the warehouse of British Geological Society. It has been attributed to failure of labeling by an absent minded scientist. The samples are being studied now.

In the library of an old mansion a number of fossils and coins are displayed in a roughly hewn wooden cabinet that  is relegated to a small nook in an obscure corner.

The family does not know that these are from a cache entrusted by Charles Darwin to a fellow scientist JD Hooker – one of their ancestors.
