This is the first time I am posting a second story to the same prompt. Initially this prompt took me to Ayodhya and it was more of a travelogue than fiction – hence this second effort.

There are no longer any roads. Just grilled pathways – self-propelled or pedestrian-walkways.
The self-propelled ones are convenient but overcrowded. Many travelers suffer from panic attacks on them. The pedestrian walkways are often unoccupied and one could theoretically enjoy a walk but these are poorly maintained and full of bio-pollutants especially the foul green-mold. Those with compromised immunity are advised to avoid these.
The trend started from a few metro-cities where the automobile traffic and large human populations converted the roads in to death traps because of gridlocks, road-rage and other hazards.
Humans are now always behind grills.
