Aditya and Aditi met on facebook and connected like a house on fire. All love stories go through bumpy rides and theirs did too but finally the many objections to their marriage were sorted out. Their baraat was not ordinary – Aditya chose to use a scooter as his steed.
On the chosen day and time all arrangements were in place but the bride’s parents and her family’s wait for the baraat seemed interminable.
Key routes including the entire Ring Road were choked with vehicles on Dec 6th last year when Delhi’s traffic problems were compounded by the 20,000 weddings, the highest in this season. The traffic in the city went hay wire with bumper-to-bumper driving on most roads. The problem was further compounded by two wheelers that tried to beat the traffic snarls.
Finally, Aditya and his entourage reached the marriage venue at 4.00 Am on Dec 7th. The bride and her family had left thinking it was another facebook love-fiasco.
