I had taken a wrong turn and found this hotel.
I was contemplating if it would have a restaurant and if I could afford it. I see a young man and a stately woman (dressed in early 1900’s style) walk out.
I ask them if this is the Foyots. They stare blankly at me and walk away.
Later – I learned that a movie with 1910s theme (The luncheon) was being shot in the hotel.

I’m sure the director hated that! The beginning of your story reminded me of a time I was using google maps to find a hotel. It took me round the block and the hotel happened to be right next to where I started. Literally walked in a circle following the given directions. Darn tech!
