Finish the story begins with: “When the team heard the dam explode, they knew they had limited time to make it to safety.”

“When the team heard the dam explode, they knew they had limited time to make it to safety.” They knew that the increased volume of water would cause a rip-current and convert the benign class-I rapid to a potentially fatal rapid.

It was all about time now – good and bad rather than seconds, minutes and hours. Luck had, however, stopped playing favorites. It had been severely reprimanded for constantly interfering with ‘carefully-thought-out-destiny’ of humans. It opted for the prudent strategy of wait and watch.

Meanwhile, the river was not ready to decompose anymore organic matter. It’s demand for oxygen was already very high and it decided to deposit them at the crumbly rocks. It murmured to them – water is next best thing to breathe after air ………. just remain calm.

16 hours later all of them were rescued from the rubble of the collapsed dam. The miraculous escape of the rafting team kept the social media busy for few hours.
