Prompt ….
This week’s photo prompt is provided by Dawn Miller. Thank you Dawn.
The young couple walked in after they missed the regular bus from the city hospital. They appeared to be engrossed in a personal discussion on some major issue. For appearances sake they ordered tea which was served in paper glasses by a surly old man. The tea remained untouched as they continued with their arguments.
The man at the counter (perhaps the owner) called the old waiter and handed a paper slip – ‘Bill for Table # 16. They have rested their bums over two teas for more than an hour – get them moving.’
The old waiter took the slip and approached the particular table.
He heard the woman say, ‘families are like fudge – mostly sweet with few nuts’ and the young woman took out the six and put it back upside down.
The man smiled and ordered a double mango-fudge with no nuts. ‘OK, lets start a family – I cannot reverse the 19th amendment.’

Hahaha! Sounds like she won the argument just as the women won the right to vote! Great story, YS!
